The information I have is that it is not safe for sensitive skin. However, if you wish to do a test using appropriately diluted geranium oil in a patch test, you will be able to tell if it's safe for you. It is used for acne and other skin problems, which themselves may make skin feel sensitive, though this is not what is meant by "sensitive skin".

Very interesting, I was looking for information on both types of geranium, rose and apple. However, I thought that geranium was actually special for use on sensitive skin, even many natural brands dedicated to sensitive skin use rose geranium on their products. Why you say is not safe? Can irritate the skin actually?

I guess it comes under the general heading of electric diffuser (which can be mains or battery operated - yours has both options)

Hello. You mentioned 5 types of diffusers. I just purchased one and it doesn't sound like the ones you mentioned. Mine is battery-operated or electric operated, a small fan, and has cotton pads to put 15-20 drops of essential oil. It works well.
Does the one I describe fall into one of the 5 listed on your site? Thanks.

No, not at all. Scent can make you happy by association with past experiences, but the medicinal qualities are not derived directly from smelling essential oils, in most cases.

Thanks for the heads up. I've checked this with netrenderer, and it does seem that Internet Explorer is rendering the page badly. The problem is fixed in Internet Explorer 8 and 9. It's also fine in Firefox and Chrome. I've decided (as this is a standard Wordpress site that I don't really want to muck about with) to put a note on the site to remind users to upgrade their browser. 38% of internet users seem happy with IE, but only 8% use IE7, so it's not worth the work to change the whole site.
